Founded in 1954, it offers to the Spanish-speaking public unpublished texts on architecture, global design and communication
Here, guided by recognized and respected designers such as Carlos Méndez Mosquera and Gui Bonsiepe, I learned the subtleties of typography and page layout. I also had the chance to see first-hand how choices on books are made, and how the different steps in the book cycle flow: from being a mere idea to having it printed and distributed.
It was fascinating to work with and learn from Carlos Méndez Mosquera, a recognized architect who participated in the creation of Graphic Design as a career at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Many books were published while I worked here, but I directly participated in the edition of the following:
Del objeto a la interface: Mutaciones del diseño / Layout making, according to a design by Carlos A. Méndez Mosquera.
Cultura social del producto: Nuevas fronteras para el diseño industrial / Layout making, according to a design by Carlos A. Méndez Mosquera / Cover design: Lorenzo Shakespear.
Essays on Design: AGI’s Designers of Influence / Layout adaptation for its Spanish edition.
